TAKING U BACK:

Taking U back to From Me to U, the debut album by Juelz Santana, released on August 19, 2003. Following the success of various unofficial street mixtapes and being part of the rap group The Diplomats, co-founded by Cam'ron & Jim Jones this album brought you to Santana's Town. From Me to U was the second official album to be released while the super group was signed to Diplomat Records, a sublabel of Roc-A-Fella Records at the time. This was Hip Hop at its highest. I remember riding around in my Grand Am playing this everyday. Even though it did not receive critical acclaim throughout the industry its still one of my favorited albums of all time. CLASSIC KICKS: Air Jordan VII Raptors

In addition to the Air Jordan 6 ‘Olympic’ we previewed earlier this week, 2012 will also be the year that we see the ‘Raptor’ Air Jordan 7 make a return to retailers.

A similar version made its way to JB accounts in 2009 as part of a Countdown Pack, but that version featured black and charcoal grey along the upper. The version seen here last retroed back in 2002. No word yet as to whether the 2012 version will look like the OGs or the retroed versions, but we will let you know once any new surfaces.

Heavy D, the former leader of the hip-hop group Heavy D and the Boyz, has died at the age of 44.
