Nesby Phips, is an Emcee/Producer from New Orleans. He’s the owner & operator of Bakadahouse Music, his production company which started in 2003. “Thats where I did my music, in the Back-of-the-house. It was a no brainer.” In his 11yr strech as a musical hybrid he’s worked with artists from Tabi Bonney, Wiz Khalifa, Chip the Ripper, Stalley, Ski Beatz, Re, B.J. the Chicago Kidd, Haziq Ali, Fiend, Lil Wayne, Mack Maine, Calicoe the Champ, Brasco, Al Fatz to name a few.Last year Phips released the 1st edition of the Phips Files titled “The Phipstape”, but he’s most recently been recognized for the work he’s put in with underground phenom/childhood friend , Curren$y & their Jets movement. The two have connected to make underground hits such as “Top of the Money”, “The Seventies”, “Lost in Transit”, “Mazaltov” & “Wave Race” to name a few. They have recently connected on a joint titled “Beeper Bill (Prioritze)” which is on the Pilot talk album.
